Ping Tom Memorial Park Events Chicago River Flatwater Classic Sunday, October 5, 2008 Take part in the only canoe and kayak race on the Chicago River. Sponsored by Friends of the Chicago River, the 7.25 mile course starts at 10 am at Clark Park (3400 N. Rockwell) and ends with a festival at Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chinatown (300 W. 19th). Register online; prices are $22 for FOCR members, $27 for non-members, and $15 for youth under 15.
